Toyota Tundra Service Manual: Front Radar Sensor Incorrect Axial Gap (C1A11,C1A14)

DESCRIPTION

When the system determines that the vehicle is driving straight ahead based on signals from the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly), etc., the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly performs self-diagnosis to check if the sensor beam axis is misaligned.

C1A11 is output when it is determined that the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly beam axis is misaligned.

If sensor beam axis adjustment is not performed after installing a new millimeter wave radar sensor assembly, C1A14 is output.

DTC No.

Front Radar Sensor Incorrect Axial Gap

When the vehicle is being driven at a speed of 36 km/h (22 mph) or more and the dynamic radar cruise control system is operating, misalignment of the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly is detected for approximately 0.3 seconds or more.

Front Radar Sensor Beam Axis Not Adjusted

When the vehicle is being driven at a speed of 36 km/h (22 mph) or more and the dynamic radar cruise control system is operating, incompletion of the millimeter wave radar sensor beam axis alignment is detected for approximately 0.3 seconds or more.

  • Millimeter wave radar sensor assembly

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

NOTICE:

  • When replacing the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly, make sure to replace it with a new one. If a device which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly will not match the information from the vehicle, and as a result, a DTC may be stored.
  • When the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly is replaced with a new one, adjustment of the radar sensor beam axis must be performed.
