GENERAL MAINTENANCE CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT HINT: Inspect these items on a cooled down engine. PROCEDURE 1. INSPECT DRIVE BELT
2. REPLACE SPARK PLUGS
3. INSPECT ENGINE OIL AND OIL FILTER
4. REPLACE ENGINE OIL AND OIL FILTER
5. INSPECT ENGINE COOLANT
6. REPLACE ENGINE COOLANT
7. INSPECT COOLING AND HEATER SYSTEM (Except North America) (a) Check that the radiator, condenser and/or intercooler are not blocked with leaves, dirt or insects, and clean them if necessary. Also check the hose connection for the installation condition, corrosion, etc. 8. INSPECT EXHAUST PIPES AND MOUNTINGS (a) Visually check the pipes, hangers and connections for severe corrosion, leaks or damage. 9. INSPECT AIR CLEANER FILTER (a) Remove the air cleaner filter. (b) Visually check that the air cleaner filter is not excessively damaged or oily. (c) Replace the air cleaner filter with a new one, if necessary. 10. INSPECT BATTERY ELECTROLYTE LEVEL (Except North America)
11. REPLACE FUEL FILTER (Except North America)
12. INSPECT FUEL TANK CAP GASKET
13. INSPECT FUEL LINES, FUEL LINE CONNECTIONS, FUEL TANK VAPOR VENT SYSTEM HOSES AND FUEL TANK BAND (a) Visually check the fuel lines and hoses for cracks, leakage, loose connections and deformation. Also, visually check the tank band for looseness. |
