REMOVAL CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT CAUTION: As the rear bumper cover is extremely heavy, the engine lifter may suddenly drop if the instructions listed in the repair manual are not followed. Therefore, always follow the instructions listed in the repair manual when performing this procedure. HINT: If the bumper is damaged, there is a possibility that the installation area of the blind spot monitor sensor may be deformed and the blind spot monitor system may not operate correctly, so visually inspect the blind spot monitor sensor installation area (frame, stud bolt) to make sure it is not dented or bent. Click here If the visual inspection finds a problem, check the installation condition of the blind spot monitor sensor, and adjust the installation position of the blind spot monitor sensor as necessary. PROCEDURE 1. REMOVE WIRING HARNESS CONNECTOR (w/ Towing Package)
(b) Detach the 2 claws and remove the wiring harness connector. 2. REMOVE CONNECTOR COVER (w/o Towing Package)
3. REMOVE REAR BUMPER COVER
(b) w/ Towing Package: (1) Loosen the 2 temporary bolts. 
(2) Using an engine lifter or equivalent, support the rear bumper cover. NOTICE:
(3) Remove the 10 bolts and rear bumper cover. (4) Remove the 2 temporary bolts from the vehicle body. (c) w/o Towing Package: (1) Loosen the 2 temporary bolts. 
(2) Using an engine lifter or equivalent, support the rear bumper cover. NOTICE:
(3) Remove the 6 bolts and rear bumper cover. (4) Remove the 2 temporary bolts from the vehicle body. |
