REMOVAL CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT NOTICE: Make sure to release the vacuum from the brake booster before removing the master cylinder from the brake booster. PROCEDURE 1. PRECAUTION NOTICE: After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (See page ). 2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system. NOTICE: When disconnecting the cable some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See page ). 3. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID NOTICE: Immediately wash off any brake fluid that comes into contact with any painted surfaces. 4. DISCONNECT BRAKE TUBE
5. REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY (a) Remove the brake master cylinder sub-assembly (See page ). 6. DISCONNECT VACUUM HOSE ASSEMBLY (a) Slide the clip and disconnect the vacuum hose from the check valve. 7. REMOVE LOWER NO.1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIR BAG ASSEMBLY Click here 8. REMOVE NO. 3 AIR DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY Click here 9. REMOVE PUSH ROD PIN (a) Remove the clip and push rod pin. 10. REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY
