PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE SENSOR

(a) Check the resistance.

(1) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

Tester Connection

Condition

Specified Condition

4 (THA) - 2 (E2)

-20°C (-4°F)

14.6 to 17.8 kΩ

4 (THA) - 2 (E2)

20°C (68°F)

2.21 to 2.69 kΩ

4 (THA) - 2 (E2)

80°C (176°F)

0.29 to 0.354 kΩ

If the result is not as specified, replace the manifold absolute pressure sensor.

Installation

INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE SENSOR

(a) Install a new O-ring to the manifold absolute pressure sensor.

(b) Install the manifold absolute pressure sensor with the screw.

Torque:

9.0 N·m {92 kgf·cm, 80 in·lbf}

(c) Connect the manifold absolute pressure sensor connector.

2. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

1. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

2. REMOVE MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE SENSOR

(a) Disconnect the manifold absolute pressure sensor connector.

(b) Remove the screw and manifold absolute pressure sensor.

(c) Remove the O-ring from the manifold absolute pressure sensor.
