TOUCH SELECT 2-4 AND HIGH-LOW SYSTEM

Fail-safe Operation

Fail-safe Deactivation Condition

U0100

Prohibits switching to 4L or switching from 4L for all shift positions

CAN communication signal from ECM is received

U0122

Prohibits all switching except from 4H to 2WD

CAN communication signal from skid control ECU is received

U0416

Prohibits all switching except from 4H to 2WD

Wheel speed sensor malfunction signals from skid control ECU return to normal

P0560

Maintains current 4WD mode

B terminal voltage becomes 9.5 V or higher (for 1 second)

P17A0

Prohibits switching from 2WD to 4H

Recovers from open circuit in the A.D.D. shift motor drive circuit (for 1 second)

P17A1

Prohibits switching from 2WD to 4H

Recovers from short to ground in the A.D.D. shift motor drive circuit (for 1 second)

P17A2

Prohibits switching from 2WD to 4H

Recovers from short to B+ in the A.D.D. shift motor (for 1 second)

P17A4

Prohibits switching from 2WD to 4H

A.D.D. actuator limit switch (2 lines) signal returns to normal (for 1 second)

P17A5

Prohibits switching from 2WD to 4H while the vehicle is being drive

Recovers from open circuit in the solenoid coil drive circuit and the ignition switch turned from off to ON

P17A6

Prohibits switching from 2WD to 4H while the vehicle is being driven

Recovers from short to ground in the solenoid coil drive circuit and the ignition switch is turned from off to ON

P17A7

Prohibits switching from 2WD to 4H while the vehicle is being driven

Recovers from short to B+ in the solenoid coil drive circuit and the ignition switch is turned from off to ON

P17A8

Prohibits all switching (maintains the current position)

Recovers from open circuit in the transfer shift motor drive circuit and the ignition switch is turned from off to ON

P17A9

Prohibits all switching (maintains the current position)

Recovers from short to ground in the transfer shift motor drive circuit and the ignition switch is turned from off to ON

P17AA

Prohibits all switching (maintains the current position)

Recovers from short to B+ in the transfer shift motor drive circuit and the ignition switch is turned from off to ON

P17AB

Prohibits all switching (maintains the current position)

Recovers from short to ground in the transfer shift actuator limit switch and the ignition

P17AC

Prohibits all switching (maintains the current position)

Transfer shift actuator limit switch signal is returns to normal and the ignition switch is turned from off to ON

Prohibits all switching (maintains the current position)

4WD HIGH and LOW position signals return to normal (for 1 second)

Prohibits all switching (maintains the current position)

Transfer position switch signal returns to normal (for 1 second)
