REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. PRECAUTION

NOTICE:

After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (See page ).

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

3. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Pull the release bar and disconnect the connector.

(b) Use tags or make a note to identify the reconnection locations.

HINT:

  • *1: FR RH
  • *2: FR LH
  • *3: RR RH
  • *4: RR LH
  • *5: FR Master Cylinder
  • *6: RR Master Cylinder

(c) Using a union nut wrench, disconnect the 6 brake tubes from the brake actuator assembly

(d) Detach the clamp.

(e) Remove the 3 nuts and brake actuator assembly from the body.
