PRECAUTION

1. INITIALIZATION

NOTICE:

  • Perform Reset Memory (AT initialization) for 2WD when replacing the automatic transmission assembly, engine assembly or ECM (See page ).
  • Perform Reset Memory (AT initialization) for 4WD when replacing the automatic transmission assembly, engine assembly or ECM (See page ).
  • Perform Registration (VIN registration) when replacing the ECM (See page ).
  • Perform initialization (throttle position) after replacing the throttle with motor body assembly or cleaning any throttle body components (See page ).

    HINT:

    The engine learned value cannot be reset by disconnecting the battery negative (-) terminal or removing the EFI NO. 1 and ETCS fuses.

2. WHEN USING TECHSTREAM

CAUTION:

Observe the following items for safety reasons:

  • Read the Techstream instruction books before using the Techstream.
  • Make sure that the Techstream cable is not caught on the pedals, shift lever or steering wheel when driving with the Techstream connected to the vehicle.
  • When driving the vehicle for testing purposes using the Techstream, two persons are required. One drives the vehicle and the other operates the Techstream.
