Toyota Tundra Service Manual: D-Seat ECU Vehicle Information Reading/Writing Process Malfunction (B15F8)

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when items controlled by the position control ECU and switch assembly cannot be customized via the audio and visual system vehicle customization screen.

HINT:

The position control ECU and switch assembly controls the front power seat control system related items that are customizable via the radio and display receiver assembly screen.

PROCEDURE

(a) Use the Techstream to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally (See page ).

OK:

CAN communication system DTCs are not output.

NG

GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

OK

(a) Check if the front power seat control system is malfunctioning (See page ).

HINT:

Customization may not be possible depending on the malfunction in the front power seat control system (w/ Memory).

OK:

No malfunctions are present in the front power seat control system (w/ Memory).

NG

GO TO FRONT POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM (w/ Memory)

OK

(a) Display the "Vehicle Customization" screen.

(b) Make a note of the customizable items for each position control ECU assembly related system.

HINT:

These items shown as customizable via the radio and display receiver assembly vehicle customization screen can also be changed using the Techstream. In a following step, the Techstream will be used.

(1) Check the customize parameters list for the front power seat control system (w/ Memory) related items that can be customized via the radio and display receiver assembly screen (See page ).

(c) Manually change and confirm that it was possible to successfully change the settings of the customize parameters for each system that are available for customization via the radio and display receiver assembly screen.

OK:

The items available for customization via the radio and display receiver assembly screen can be customized successfully using the manual procedure.
