REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

CAUTION:

  • Wear protective gloves when removing the exhaust pipe assembly.
  • The exhaust pipe assembly is extremely hot immediately after the engine has stopped.
  • Confirm that the exhaust pipe assembly has cooled down before removing it.

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR

2. REMOVE TAILPIPE ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the bolt and clamp.

(b) Disconnect the exhaust pipe support to remove the tailpipe assembly.

(c) Remove the gasket.

3. REMOVE CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 4 bolts.

(b) Disconnect the 3 exhaust pipe supports to remove the center exhaust pipe assembly.

(c) Remove the 2 gaskets.

4. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 3 nuts and front exhaust pipe assembly.

(b) Remove the gasket.

5. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 2 Sensor 1)

6. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 3 nuts.

(b) Disconnect the exhaust pipe support to remove the front No. 2 exhaust pipe assembly.

(c) Remove the gasket.

7. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 1)
