INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT DECK LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Check the resistance.

(1) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

Tester Connection

Switch Condition

Specified Condition

5 (CCTY) - 9 (CGON)

Cargo light switch ON

Below 1 Ω

Cargo light switch DOOR

Cargo light switch OFF

10 kΩ or higher

10 (CGLP) - 7 (E)

Cargo light switch ON

Below 1 Ω

Cargo light switch DOOR

10 kΩ or higher

Cargo light switch OFF

If the result is not as specified, replace the deck light switch assembly.

(b) Check the illumination.

(1) Apply battery voltage to the connector and check the illumination condition.

OK:

Measurement Condition

Specified Condition

Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 (ILL+)

Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4 (ILL-)

Illuminates

If the result is not as specified, replace the deck light switch assembly.
