DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE BLEEDER PLUG CAP

2. REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE BLEEDER PLUG

3. REMOVE CYLINDER BOOT

(a) Using a screwdriver, remove the cylinder boot from the cylinder.

HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

4. REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE PISTON

(a) Place a piece of cloth or a similar object between the piston and cylinder.

(b) Use compressed air to remove the piston from the cylinder.

CAUTION:

Do not place your fingers in front of the piston when using compressed air.

5. REMOVE PISTON SEAL

(a) Using a screwdriver, remove the piston seal from the cylinder.

NOTICE:

Do not damage the inner cylinder or cylinder groove.

HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
