DESCRIPTION

If the forward recognition camera detects that the forward recognition camera axis has deviated, DTC C1AA8 is stored. Also, if Forward Recognition Camera Axis Adjustment is not performed after installing the forward recognition camera, DTC C1AA9 is stored.

3 seconds after the ignition switch is turned to ON, the forward recognition camera detects forward recognition camera axis deviation.

Front Camera Module Beam Axis Not Adjusted

When the vehicle is being driven at a speed of 5 km/h (3 mph) or more 3 seconds after the ignition switch is turned to ON, the forward recognition camera detects that Forward Recognition Camera Axis Adjustment have not been completed.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

NOTICE:

  • When replacing the forward recognition camera, always replace it with a new one. If a forward recognition camera which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the forward recognition camera will not match the information from the vehicle. As a result, a DTC may be stored.
  • If the forward recognition camera has been replaced with a new one, be sure to perform Forward Recognition Camera Axis Adjustment.

CHECK VEHICLE CONDITION

(a) Check the operating conditions of the vehicle.

HINT:

DTC C1AA8 may be stored if the forward recognition camera optical axis is temporarily misaligned due to the vehicle being overloaded.

(a) Check the front wheel alignment (toe).

(a) Check the installation condition of the forward recognition camera.

If the forward recognition camera bracket is deformed or misaligned, replace the windshield glass.

HINT:

If only history DTCs are stored, they may have been stored due to a temporarily condition such as overloading of the vehicle, and the system returned to normal when Recognition Camera/Target Position Memory and Recognition Camera Axis Adjust was performed.

(b) Clear the DTCs.
