2. REMOVE PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY (a) Remove the propeller shaft for 2WD (see page ). (b) Remove the propeller shaft for 4WD (see page ). 3. REMOVE REAR DRIVE PINION NUT
4. REMOVE REAR DRIVE PINION COMPANION FLANGE SUB-ASSEMBLY
5. REMOVE REAR DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER OIL SEAL
6. INSTALL REAR DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER OIL SEAL
(b) Coat the lip of the oil seal with MP grease. 7. INSTALL REAR DRIVE PINION COMPANION FLANGE SUB-ASSEMBLY
(b) Coat the threads of a new nut with hypoid gear oil.
8. STAKE REAR DRIVE PINION NUT
9. INSTALL PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY (a) Install the propeller shaft for 2WD (see page ). (b) Install the propeller shaft for 4WD (see page ). 10. ADD DIFFERENTIAL OIL
