The cruise information is displayed in the following order each time the INFO switch is pressed.

Display

Outline

Average Fuel Economy

  • Value that has been calculated by combination meter, which is based on distance driven and fuel consumption volume (fuel injection signal from No. 1 cylinder).
  • This display is updated every 10 seconds.

Current Fuel Economy

  • Value that has been calculated by combination meter. When ignition switch is turned ON, combination meter calculates this value based on distance driven and fuel consumption volume (fuel injection signal from No. 1 injector).
  • This display is updated every 0.5 seconds.

Distance To Empty

  • Value that has been calculated by combination meter. When ignition switch is turned ON, combination meter calculates this value based on fuel consumption data that combination meter continuously monitors and stores in its memory, and residual fuel volume data.
  • This display is updated every km (mile).

Trip Timer

  • Calculates and displays elapsed time since engine start signal was input into combination meter.
  • This display is updated every second.

(a) This system has the following functions.

(1) Clock:

When the ignition switch is turned ON or ACC, the clock display is ON.

(2) Cruise Information:

For cruise information, four type of information (Outside temperature, average fuel economy, instant fuel economy, and distance to empty) can be displayed.

  • The cruise information units can be changed by using the SETUP switch.
  • Outside temperature → Average fuel economy → Instant fuel economy → Distance to empty.

    Information

    Outline

    Outside Temperature:

Displays outside temperature in accordance with the outside temperature sensor signal from the A/C amplifier.

    Average Fuel Economy:

    • Displays a value that has been calculated by the combination meter, which is based on the distance driven and the fuel consumption volume (fuel injection signal from the No. 1 cylinder).
    • This display is updated every 0.5 seconds.

    Instant Fuel Economy:

    • Displays a value that has been calculated by the combination meter. When the ignition switch is turned ON, the combination meter calculates this value based on the distance driven and the fuel consumption volume (fuel injection signal from the No. 1 injector).
    • This display is updated every 0.5 seconds.

    Distance to Empty:

    • When the ignition switch is ON, displays a value that has been calculated by the combination meter (meter ECU), which is based on the following: 1) fuel consumption data that the combination meter (meter ECU) continuously monitors and stores in its memory; and 2) residual fuel volume data.
    • This display is updated every 1.6 km (1 mile).

(3) Security Indicator Light:

  • Informs the driver of the theft deterrent system status.
  • Depending on operation of the transponder key ECU, the interior security indicator light comes on or starts blinking.

(4) Clearance Warning Indicator:

  • Displays the location of the obstacle and the approximate distance between the vehicle and the obstacle.
  • Turns on and off according to the intuitive parking assist system status.
