INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Position Memory System)

(a) Check the operation of the lumbar support adjuster assembly LH.

(1) Apply battery voltage to the lumbar support motor LH connector, and check that the lumbar support adjuster assembly LH operates smoothly as follows.

OK:

Tester Connection

Switch Condition

Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2

Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1

Hold

Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1

Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2

Release

If the result is not as specified, replace the lumbar support adjuster assembly LH.

2. INSPECT LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH (w/o Seat Position Memory System)

(a) Check the operation of the lumbar support adjuster assembly LH.

(1) Apply battery voltage to the lumbar support motor LH connector, and check that the lumbar support adjuster assembly LH operates smoothly as follows.

OK:

Tester Connection

Switch Condition

Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1

Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2

Hold

Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2

Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1

Release

If the result is not as specified, replace the lumbar support adjuster assembly LH.

3. INSPECT LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Check the operation of the lumbar support adjuster assembly RH.

(1) Apply battery voltage to the lumbar support motor RH connector, and check that the lumbar support adjuster assembly RH operates smoothly as follows.

OK:

Tester Connection

Switch Condition

Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2

Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1

Hold

Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1

Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2

Release

If the result is not as specified, replace the lumbar support adjuster assembly RH.
