SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

1. GENERAL

The windshield deicer system's thin heater wires are attached to the inside of the windshield glass and deice the windshield surface quickly. The indicator light illuminates while the system is operating. The system automatically turns off after approximately 15 minutes.

The windshield deicer switch is built into the mirror heater switch.

2. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENT

Component	Outline
Air conditioning control assembly (windshield deicer switch)	Located on air conditioning control assembly, detects windshield deicer switch operation and transmits signals to air conditioning amplifier through LIN communication line
Windshield deicer relay assembly	Receives windshield deicer activation request signals from air conditioning amplifier and supplies power to windshield deicer
Windshield glass (windshield deicer wire)	Receives power from windshield deicer relay assembly and heats windshield glass (windshield deicer wire)
