REMOVAL PROCEDURE 1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM (a) for HFC-134a(R134a): Click here (b) for HFO-1234yf(R1234yf): Click here 2. PRECAUTION NOTICE: After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work. Click here 3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system. NOTICE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Click here 4. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER Click here 5. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY (a) for 1UR-FE: Click here (b) for 3UR-FE: Click here (c) for 3UR-FBE: Click here 6. DISCONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE
(b) Remove the O-ring from the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose. NOTICE: Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them. 7. DISCONNECT AIR CONDITIONER TUBE ASSEMBLY
(b) Remove the O-ring from the air conditioner tube assembly. NOTICE: Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them. 8. REMOVE COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY (a) Remove the 2 bolts.
