This code is stored when an ECM that is incompatible with the engine immobiliser system is installed to the vehicle.

CLEAR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs.

(a) Start the engine.

(b) Check for DTCs.

Before checking for DTCs, perform the "DTC Output Confirmation Operation" procedure.

OK:

DTC B279C is not output.

USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK

3.	REPLACE ECM

(a) Replace the current ECM with the proper ECM.
