Installation

INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL TRANSPONDER KEY COIL

(a) Align the transponder key coil with the installation position of the upper bracket with the amplifier inclined.

(b) Push the transponder key coil and install it to the upper bracket.

NOTICE:

Do not push the transponder key coil upward with excessive force.

(c) Connect each connector.

2. INSTALL LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER

(a) Attach the 2 claws to install the lower steering column cover.

(b) Install the 2 screws.

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER

(a) While turning the steering wheel to the right and left, remove the 2 screws.

(b) Detach the 2 claws and remove the lower steering column cover.

2. REMOVE TRANSPONDER KEY COIL

(a) Disconnect each connector.

(b) Using a screwdriver, widen the claws attached to the upper bracket by approximately 1 mm (0.0394 in.).

(c) Pull out the transponder key coil with the claws open.

NOTICE:

Take care not to apply excessive force to prevent the case from being damaged.
