REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

HINT:

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE

1. PRECAUTION

NOTICE:

After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (See page ).

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the battery negative (-) terminal to disable the SRS system.

NOTICE:

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See page ).

3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Manual Seat)

4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat)

(See page )

5. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH (for Manual Seat, for Driver Side)

6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH (for Manual Seat, for Driver Side)

7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

(a) for Manual Seat:

(1) Detach the 2 hooks of the separate type front seat cushion cover.

(2) Disconnect the connector and detach the connector clamp and 3 wire harness clamps.

(3) Detach the wire harness clamp.

(4) Remove the nut and front seat inner belt assembly LH.

(b) for Power Seat:

(1) Detach the connector clamp and 3 wire harness clamps.

(2) Disconnect the connector and detach the wire harness clamp.

(3) Remove the nut and front seat inner belt assembly LH.

8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Disconnect the connector and detach the wire harness clamp.

(b) Remove the nut and front seat inner belt assembly RH.
