INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH (for Double Cab)

(a) Apply battery voltage to connector terminals 1 and 2.

(b) Check that the motor gear rotates smoothly as follows.

OK:

Measurement Condition

Specified Condition

Battery positive (+) → 1

Battery negative (-) → 2

Motor gear rotates counterclockwise

Battery positive (+) → 2

Battery negative (-) → 1

Motor gear rotates clockwise

  • If the result is not as specified, replace the rear power window regulator motor assembly LH. Text in Illustration

    Counterclockwise

2. INSPECT REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH (for CrewMax)

(a) Apply battery voltage to connector terminals 1 and 2.

(b) Check that the motor gear rotates smoothly as follows.

OK:

Measurement Condition

Specified Condition

Battery positive (+) → 1

Battery negative (-) → 2

Motor gear rotates counterclockwise

Battery positive (+) → 2

Battery negative (-) → 1

Motor gear rotates clockwise

  • If the result is not as specified, replace the rear power window regulator motor assembly LH. Text in Illustration

3. REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH (for Double Cab)

4. INSPECT REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH (for CrewMax)

(a) Apply battery voltage to connector terminals 1 and 2.

(b) Check that the motor gear rotates smoothly as follows.

Battery positive (+) → 1

Battery negative (-) → 2

Motor gear rotates clockwise

Battery positive (+) → 2

Battery negative (-) → 1

Motor gear rotates counterclockwise
