INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL FAN

(a) Install the fan to the fluid coupling with the 4 nuts.

Torque:

10 N·m {102 kgf·cm, 7 ft·lbf}

2. INSTALL FAN SHROUD

(a) Install the fan pulley to the fan bracket.

(b) Place the fan shroud together with the fluid coupling fan between the radiator and engine.

NOTICE:

Be careful not to damage the radiator core

(c) Temporarily install the fluid coupling fan to the fan bracket with the 4 nuts. Tighten the nuts as much as possible by hand.

(d) Attach the shroud's claws to the radiator as shown in the illustration.

(e) Install the shroud with the 2 bolts.

Torque:

6.5 N·m {66 kgf·cm, 58 in·lbf}

(f) Connect the reservoir hose to the upper radiator tank.

(g) Install the fan and generator V-belt (See page ).

(h) Tighten the 4 nuts of the fluid coupling fan.

Torque:

21 N·m {214 kgf·cm, 15 ft·lbf}

3. INSTALL INLET RADIATOR HOSE

(a) Install the inlet radiator hose.

HINT:

The direction of each hose clamp is indicated in the illustration.

4. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY

5. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

6. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK

7. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

8. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
